Today and this evening were much quieter than the rest of the week. Lot of protesters, in multiple groups and in various areas around the city, but pretty peaceful according the the scanner. Most calls seemed like the regular injuries and issues I usually hear.

On the lighter side, a little after 8:00 pm someone called in a report of an injured squirrel in the street–I don’t remember the exact address or cross-street, but he was in the left-hand lane. The officer replied and said “It’s past curfew.” We got a kick out of that. Apparently that poor squirrel didn’t have a cell phone so he didn’t get the alerts and was out past 7pm. Awww.
